Please let us know if you would like to reserve babies from a particular breeding pair. No deposit is required for reserved kids, however reservations are taken on a "first-come-first-serve" basis. Let us know if you wish to be added to our doe and/or buckling waiting list for any particular breeding...kids don't stay long once on the ground ! (There's no further obligation should you decide not to purchase once the kid is born.)
If a reserved animal is retained by Misty Highland Farm (MHF), potential buyer will be given their choice of the next available animal that most closely resembles what they were looking for. Also, should the reserved animal not be produced, buyer has first option on next available un-reserved kids or those already born but not spoken for yet.
Once kids are born, buyers have visited our farm to make a final choice, and a commitment is made to buy an animal, half of the purchase price is required as a non-refundable deposit within three days of signing the sales agreement. The goat(s) purchased will be held until weaned ( approx. 8-10 weeks) while final payment arrangements are worked out. Any special tests and health certificates required for transportation are the buyer's responsibility. Unless special arrangements have been made in advance, if goat(s) is/are not picked up after weaning(8-10 weeks), a $2 per day charge will be added to remaining balance. Goats not picked up after 60 days remain the property of Misty Highland Farm and any deposits will be forfeited.
Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. All fees for health certificates including any testing required for the state where the goat is to be housed will be the responsibility of the buyer. Go to the USDA APHIS Veterinary Services web site to check the animal importation requirements for your state. *We do not ship goats as of this time.
Prices usually range from $150 (wethers) to $400 most doelings. Pet doelings are generaly $250. Bucklings are $250-$300.

Misty Highland Farm (MHF)sells goats that are healthy at the time of sale. All babies will have been disbudded, wethered if required and have their second CD&T vaccine. Buyer has the right to a veterinary inspection at their own expense on animals to be purchased. MHF will not be responsible for the health of an animal purchased from us beyond 24 hours from the time it leaves the farm. However, should an official veterinary certificate show evidance of an underlying condition prior to transfer, MHF will either give buyer a complete refund of purchase price in exchange for the animal or replace the animal with something comparable. Illness or death due to shipping will be the buyers responsibility.
**Misty Highland Farm will provide a care manual and support for all goat purchases.
